Ocean in front, mountains behind: this five-bedroom villa on the hillside above Camps Bay is built around its views, and its bright, modern interior is kept immaculate.
The kitchen, dining area and lounge are open-plan and flow straight onto a sea-facing terrace, the natural spot for breakfast, long lunches and drinks as the sun goes down. There is a braai (barbecue) for evenings outside. Indoors you have air conditioning, smart TVs, a desk with a desk chair, a coffee machine and a full laundry, and a welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk and water is waiting on arrival.
Two of the five bedrooms have en suite bathrooms. The other three share the villa’s third bathroom, plus a separate guest bathroom. The bathrooms have showers, and the master bedroom does not have a bathtub. Each bathroom is stocked with body wash, lotion and shampoo, and towels are provided for 10 guests. A baby cot is available if you ask in advance.
The villa is built over several levels connected by stairs, and a steep flight of steps leads up from the road to the front door, so plan ahead if you are bringing heavy luggage or a pram.
Camps Bay Beach and the tidal pool are about 1.3 to 1.4 km down the hill, a short drive, and the restaurants along Victoria Road are just beyond. The V&A Waterfront is about 15 minutes by car. Parking is in the garage, with off-street bays as well.
Guests come back to the same things in their reviews: views of both the ocean and the mountains, and a host team that responds quickly.
